I met Dr. Jim Winston when I was in my early 30's. I had given up believing I would ever have any quality of life and wanted to die. I had seen several doctors of psychiatry from the time I was 15 until meeting Dr. Winston and had no improvement in my condition. Dr. Winston was assigned to me while I was hospitalized for a suicide attempt. I sensed a difference in his concern for my care and wellness that I had not experienced with previous doctors. He gave me hope that things could and would get better. He teamed up with me and we worked together on my issues until things did get better. I remember thinking "wow this must be what normal feels like" after being on an anti-depressant for a few weeks. I credit Dr. Winston for saving my life. It was too hard to fight the battle of depression on my own for so long. With Dr. Winston on my team, I have made it into my 50's and have enjoyed a quality of life I never thought possible in the past. I encourage anyone who may be feeling than an aspect of their mental health is keeping them from living the life they hoped to live to make an appointment with Dr. Winston and see how good your life can be.

Give years ago I started seeing Dr. Jim Winston. I was not diagnosed correctly by other doctors. Doctor Jim Winston and I straightened that out. I was also very depressed and paranoid, I didnt trust anyone, mostly Dr. Jim. I had problems with daily routine chores. Currently, Im on medications prescribed by Jim that helped me greatly. I have developed a relationship with Jim that is trusting and caring. It has helped me with other relationships in my life. I love and trust Dr. Jim and consider him a very good friend. I know I can count on him in my life.

The medications have helped me with depression and being paranoid, moodiness and irritability. Most of the time, these days I'm feeling good.

This is an MD that is willing to treat patients aggressively to find solutions that patients experience. Thoughtful and respectful, I would never wish to change MD's for any other. I've been a patient for 11 years and I would highly recommend Dr. Loiben for any one who is experiencing traumatic events that has caused uncomfortable feelings and thoughts. He listens and is very advanced.
